Ground zero for a nuclear battle was simply over an hour northeast of Frankfurt, Germany. The small city of Fulda is nestled on the base of a pure hole within the hilly wooded terrain of West Germany and was a hall between East and West Germany.
Known as the Fulda Hole, this hall was very seemingly the trail the Warsaw forces and the Soviet Union would have taken to invade Europe.
The courageous women and men who served in West Germany had been the primary line of protection in opposition to the enemy horde that may come by way of the hole if hostilities ever started.
Their mission was to carry that advancing horde for forty-eight hours till reinforcements arrived. None of them had been anticipated to outlive an invasion they usually all knew it. This was what they’d enlisted for, it was their job, they usually did it proudly.
